We are seeking exceptional CRNAs to join our changing and growing anesthesiology practice. We are looking for CRNAs to work in the operating room and/or OB within an anesthesia care team model in a full-time, part-time, or per diem capacity. George Fox University’s College of Nursing announces the development of a doctoral CRNA program. The College of Nursing is seeking a Program Director who is enthusiastic about developing the CRNA program, and preparing CRNAs to work in rural settings throughout Oregon. The ideal candidate will have experience working in CRNA education and have a passion for serving vulnerable populations and underserved communities. This position is set to begin on a half time basis in early 2024, moving to full time July, 2024.
About the Job:
This is a full-time, 11-month position in the College of Nursing with leadership and administration of the CRNA program. This is a faculty-administrator position with teaching, student advisement, service, and scholarship responsibilities. This position works closely with and reports to the Dean of the College of Nursing. Job Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
- Serve as administrative lead of the nurse anesthesia program.
- Provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of the educational program including but not limited to administration, didactic and clinical curriculum, faculty recruitment and development, national accreditation, compliance with state regulations, and evaluation.
- Develop and oversee curriculum that meets COA, AACN Essentials, and OSBN requirements and provide for continuous review, evaluation, and updates as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements including annual program reports, website and published materials, periodic program self-study efforts and preparation for site visits.
- Develop, regularly evaluate, and update policies related to admission, advancement, and graduation that enhance student success.
- Oversee and participate in the admissions process.
- Direct the evaluation of student learning, including assessment measures and program and course review.
- Work with individual faculty and the dean, in development, implementation, and monitoring of faculty growth plans including annual evaluations and promotion.
- Ensure recruitment, orientation, mentoring, and evaluation of nursing faculty, staff, and other contributors to the nursing education program.
- Work collaboratively with other nursing programs, agencies, and health providers to ensure equitable access to practice sites.
- Ensure opportunities for faculty, students, staff, and clinical partners to provide input in decisions about the development of the nursing education program.
- Develop and monitor program budget.
- Teach didactic and clinical courses as able, including oversight of DNP projects.
- Provide direct patient care and precept CRNA students as able
- Partner with team to ensure adequate affiliation agreements/contracts for off-campus clinical sites as well as off-campus clinical coordinators and preceptors.
- Ensure the spiritual vitality and Christian centrality of the nursing program.
We’re Looking for Candidates Who Have:
- An active unencumbered Oregon APRN license
- Current national CRNA certification
- An earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- Experience in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development and administration
- Current knowledge of CRNA practice and related professional issues
- Current knowledge of institutional and programmatic accreditation requirements for nurse anesthesia educational programs
- Minimum five years of full time equivalent CRNA clinical experience
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work full-time in person

No call, No nights, No weekends/holidays!
We are currently seeking a fully licensed CRNA to join our growing facility in Roseburg, Oregon with potential for more hours if desired in Eugene, Oregon (Eugene location would require plastic/general surgery cases with intubation)
The position would be to provide ambulatory surgery center (ASC) based anesthesia to patients who are receiving outpatient Podiatry, Pain and Ophthalmology procedures/surgeries. You will be responsible for patient anesthesia management during pre-op, intra-op, and post-operatively. Daily activities include:
- Mastery knowledge of moderate IV sedation and deep sedation
- Handling of pre-anesthesia evaluations including but not limited to: assessing patient’s medical history, and developing an appropriate anesthesia plan.
- Obtaining informed consent for anesthesia.
- Inducing and maintaining sedation and general anesthesia utilizing appropriate oral and intravenous anesthetic drugs and controlled substances.
- Selecting/inserting noninvasive monitoring modalities.
- Responding to emergency situations using airway management and other techniques.
- Facilitating emergence and recovery from anesthesia
- Maintaining an appropriate anesthesia record.
- Ability to work well with all types of individuals including patients, family, staff, and physicians.
You will be working with a great team of professionals whose primary goal is to ensure that the patient has a positive experience and receives outstanding care.
Salary Range: 130K for 2 days a week in Roseburg or 195K for 3 days a week in Roseburg or 280K for full time work split between Roseburg and Eugene
